Earth Day

The Earth chokes slowly and takes an

aching swing towards the Moon for

comfort and perhaps CPR from the

one flying boulder that didn't show

on health class day. Water is dribbling

down his face now and spills down

various countries that didn't need

that much water. The United Nations

spring into action and begin unleashing

gallons of fabreeze into the atmosphere

to try and get rid of the pollution.

Not that any amount of force or cough

could undo the years of bad health

accumulated from an infestation of

pesticites that couldn't help but polute

and plunder and parade around with AK47's.

The moon attempts to rebalance his friend

and swishes back and forth as tides

ride and fall like monsoon season at

its finest peak. But the Earth is losing

time and can feel itself shrinking.

Perhaps this is the way to go. Quick

and irresponsibly like falling asleep without

turning off the faucet.
