Stargazing

The capacity to invent SuperMen

and aliens like him shows how humans

long for something bigger than

themselves.

We want to fly we want to

never die we want more strength

and more power and to answer

only to our conscious (not to the law)

and live up to our names and not

our species specific expectations and

though we have assumed ourselves

to be more intelligent than all other

life forms on Earth we look to the

stars and question God and he looks

back and shakes his head.
