The Loyalty of a Dog

The master-servant gene

within a dog must be the

most complex composition

that God ever attempted.

A dog will follow his master

to the edge of the Earth,

in impending doom, with

little else but a look of love.

A dog is more loyal than a

husband, a lover, a vow.

More obedient than a student,

a choir, a slave.

He will give his last breath that

his master may smile.

He will stay awake on frozen tundra

to ward off malicious creatures.

He will stand by a grave until

his days catch up with his master's,

so he may serve him even into the next life.
