A thunderstorm's prequel lives in a
quiet room in the Museum of Art in
Orlando, it was captured in a memory
not far away,
The clouds hang in a haunting smear
across the sky and move in quickly
towards the viewer at bay
it shakes
the tiny room
with silent thunder
Captivated in the viewer's mind,
it lets you breathe in fresh dew
of the morning while you hug
your arms to shelter from oncoming
rain,
Any moment now,
it may storm away it's fragile canvas
with colors dripping down lush greens
past ivory walls onto the wooden floor.
In fact, the whole building may be
in jeopardy from the unsound structure
it can't maintain in rain.
