It's an unfortunate birth
to be the first of your kind,
though it has a sort of freedom
for there aren't any expectations.
I created fashion, for example,
but the process involved will
probably haunt me forever,
The trees and birds are beautiful
but I get lonely sometimes and wish
there was another woman here to
rant to,
God and Adam are great,
but they don't like to complain like
I do,
or if they complain it's merely to
solve the problem, not brood over it,
doesn't anyone want to have fun?
So back to the apple, you can't
understand but it looked like a jewel
in its green trove and it glistened with
fresh dew and beckoned to me along
with the snake,
plus it was off limits...
The Knowledge of Good and Evil was just
so tempting,
you'd want to know too, you know?
Well now I do know, and it's terrible and
as the sweet fruit touched my lips the wars
of thousands of years weighed upon
my bosom, the blood of unborn children
pulsed down my wrists, and I saw the end
of the world like lightning from hell within my
eyes for a minute and such shame I knew
not existed, that I cannot name,
God called it sin and surely it is the end
of everything even from the start.
