We are all sinners,

for those of you who read

in doubt, check for blood

upon your hands or for whom

has cast the first stone,

Worse are the red stains

within you heart for words

of hate thought in heat,

or shrugs or denials of

help for those you meet,

Or perhaps you ignore

your neighbor when they

were screaming on the floor

or knocking on your door

for a cup of flour,

Your cup is filled with

deceit, especially if you

say it is not, for you sin

every second of every day

while walking down the street

or not feeding a stray,

Yes, we are all sinners,

more so if you think

you are not.
