Reviewing Our Lessons

Children,

let this be a lesson from Media,

not to spew hateful nor ignorant

rhetoric from your precious mouth,

especially while being recorded.

Children,

the Bible describes the tongue

as an evil serpent, and you should

be aware that it needs a tight reign

always, and if you are unsure of

your history lessons, please,

for God's sake,

refrain from commentary or

allusions to horrid periods of time

or even pleasant ones if you can

help it.

Children,

We are the shape of our past,

leaning outside a window and

calling for help, sliding between

years and hate trying to pull

ourselves up a fire escape,

quite above the riptide, in a

desperate attempt to see

our fellow man as they are

and not as we think they

should be.

Children,

You may not know a lot now,

nor will you as adults either,

but please know kindness

and tact and the ability

to keep your mouth shut

when necessary.
