Who was the genius

who decided that

"all of the teachers should be

led by a politician"?

That sounds like a GREAT idea,

and in the meantime,

let's have all the restaurants

run by pilots, and all the truck

routes run by jocks and if you're

looking for a doctor,

you should probably call

a plumber

they have experience in

bullshit too!

But back to the main point,

teachers should be led by

teachers,

a novel idea,

or even previous teachers who

have felt that struggle before,

who understand why grades are

failing in lower income cities,

who understand the value of

diversity,

who understand that children are

individuals and not statistics,

who see why the needs of one

may differ from the needs of many,

They also understand

Proficiency Vs. Growth

and how to convince a child

who's father just gotten shot

how to answer question number 4

despite her pain,

They also have the knowledge of

how to deal with bathroom accidents

because shit happens,

and they know of the spills and stains,

and crying, and screaming, and lying,

and laughing, and lawsuits, and parents

Oh, the parents!

No child left behind?

How about trying out

a new theory,

No teacher left behind.
