Love Your Enemies

Jesus calls us to love our enemies,

which might just be one of the

hardest things to swallow in the

entire New Testament,

because let's be honest,

it is just too easy to hate,

and so much harder to love,

The married couple knows

that it is not all hugs and

roses, it is arguing and

compromise, it is like

breaking in a wild horse,

or learning how to fly,

We so often dismiss and

reject and run to admonishment,

and stick our noses up if our boss

is tough on us or our teammate

is a little bit strict but we often

don't stop to think of them as

a human being who is ultimately

seeking love and acceptance just

like us, even if they are seeking in

all the wrong ways, and we don't

realize how much a smile at an

angry stranger can turn a horrible

day into a vast change in our

perspective on life.
